  Visited here with family in July. Had the best experience from the staff to the amazing dinners each night. I highly recommend this as the premier place to stay while playing golf in the area.

  I recently spent a very memorable long weekend at Links House, the best luxury hotel in the highlands. Situated just next to the first tee of Royal Dornoch Golf Club, Links House captures your attention the moment you drive up. It is a lovingly restored old mansion and coach house with a well-maintained putting green between the two. As you enter, it gets even better. No detail has been left to chance. Stunning furnishings, art, and old books fill both the common rooms as well as the bedrooms. Though it is all new, it maintains an air of historic permanence. But perhaps best of all is the staff of Links House. Beverly (manager), Michael (jack-of-all-trades), and the chef (Darren, I believe), conspired to make the weekend truly amazing. From arranging transportation for the group to get to the various golf courses in the area, to plying us with tasty cocktails both before dinner and after dinner by the outdoor fireplace, to cuisine that can only be called "five star", each day we were there was better than the one before. No need to visit other restaurants in Dornoch. Didn't have sunday lunch, but hear it is awesome! Conclusion: you owe it to yourself to go to the Highlands and spend a few days at Links House - much better than any of the other hotels in Dornoch. Whether you are a golfer or not, your stay there will be truly outstanding.

  Rather than rush from place to place we decided to make this trip a truly memorable experience. Therefore we used Links House as our home base for a full week of Scottish Highlands adventure. Being only steps from Royal Dornoch Golf Club is just the first of many wonderful things that Links House has to offer!
  
  The hotel itself is extraordinary. The furnishings, antiques, and artwork have been carefully selected to create a feeling that is classic and understated in its elegance. The in-house chef’s meals were creative and delicious and incorporated unique local ingredients. This is the best hotel in Dornoch by any measure and likley the best luxury hotel in all of the Highlands.
  
  A stay at Links House enables you to truly immerse yourself in the Scottish Highlands. I look forward to my next visit.
